Lumut Naval Harbour
Malaysia (1978 - 1985)
One of the earliest, and most challenging, marine-based turnkey projects Gamuda undertook was the Lumut Naval Dockyard and Offshore Structures project in Perak, which was completed in 1985. It was through this project that we honed our proficiency in large-scale marine engineering, a vast difference from constructing on-ground infrastructure.
The Lumut Naval base in Perak is known as the “The Home of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN)”, where RMN's fleet headquarters, also called Kapal di-Raja Malaya, is located.
