Gamuda was the main force behind the construction of the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, which is part of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s medical faculty. The construction of the 1,040-bed capacity teaching hospital, completed in 1997, comprising a clinical block, education block, hostel and staff quarters was among the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in the country.
Today, HUKM is one of the leading medical teaching facilities in Malaysia.
