Gamuda takes up 4-5% of staff salary, with an
average of 12 days training per year per employee.
Through the Gamuda Learning Centre —
our training school — development initiatives
are customised and conducted to meet the needs
of our business model, organisational and management
demands.
Learning Needs Identification is competency
based and conducted every 2 years to ensure
its relevance.
Development activities are then structured
using our 5S development strategy:

- Staff Management
- Situation Management
- Strategic Management
- Specific functional competency
These approaches incorporate core areas of
business leadership, personal leadership, people
skills, business management, financial management,
quality, safety and technical skills.
Learning extends from formal classroom training
to on-the-job, action-based training, coaching
and self-directed learning.
