Datuk Ir. Chua Soon Poh, is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council UK, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia, and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers UK.

Datuk Chua has served the Malaysian Government for 34 years in the Public Works Department and the Malaysian Highway Authority from 1967 to 2001. Prior to his retirement in May 2001, he has held various positions in the Public Works Department at the District, State and Headquarters level. Positions he has held include Director of Public Works Department, Terengganu, Director of Education Works and Director of Roads Public Works Department Headquarters and Director General of the Malaysian Highway Authority.

Datuk Chua is the Regional Director for the Gamuda Group’s projects in India.
